Local Attractions

There are a number of attractions and points of interest in and around Egremont in Cumbria. Here are just a few:

Egremont Crab Fair - Once a year Egremont hosts its traditional crab fair and sports. Funfair, world gurning championship and a whole host of entertainment and displays.

Egremont Castle - Dating far back to 1130 - 1140. While the castle stands in partial ruins, many parts of it are still well preserved. The castle sits on public land and is open to the public 365 days a year.

Lowes Court Art Gallery - Constantly changing artwork exhibitions throughout the year, also acts as Egremonts tourist information centre.
